Raise your hand if you have a stack of books on your nightstand, one you carry with you in your bag, a few “just in case” books stashed in your car, a couple of audio books downloaded on your phone, and a mental list of suggested books from friends?
Visiting local book stores, my public library, and Amazon is super dangerous for me. There are so many good books out there which makes it hard to select one – so I don’t.
I pick them all (OK, a whole bunch, but I truly want them ALL!).
Books are seductive, addictive, and intoxicating for so many reasons.
I can instantly travel and take a break from my day-to-day when I dive into a book.
I learn new ways to be creative.
I connect with other authors who are doing things similar to my work – or completely different – which boosts my confidence.
I get instant support on how to raise a happy and healthy family – my way.
I research innovative ways to support clients.
I spend time stretching myself to take bigger leaps.
I learn more about myself.
I snuggle up with my kiddos and we enjoy an adventure together.
I fall in love with characters and get overly involved (mentally) with their lives and stories.
As I wrapped up coaching sessions with clients for this month, many of them asked what books I was reading.
Here is the list of the top 8 books I’ve enjoyed this year.
