How often do you ask yourself, “What can I do and how can I do it?"
Usually, I hear people say or think),
- “How can I do {item}?
- Oh, forget it.
- What am I thinking?
- I know I can’t do {item} and I don’t even know how I would go about it."
Do you see the problem with this type of thinking?
You’re:
- defeated before you start.
- putting the brakes on before trying.
- talking yourself out of getting going.
- not extending an invitation to stretch, grow, and soar.
You:
- don’t believe in yourself.
- think you are not capable.
Listen Bold-Thinkers, the only thing you have to think about and concentrate on when you ask, “What can I do and how can I do it?”...is doing the best you can.
Doing the best you can means:
- Being open to the process of learning – which may require you to be a beginner.
- Expecting some good and bad moments – because when you do the best you can, things are never perfect.
- Staying focused on supporting yourself during the bumps and successes.
- Telling yourself, on a consistent basis, you are capable of moving forward even when it seems impossible.
This spring, how can you apply the “best you can” strategy to what you have going on?
