How are you feeling?

How was your week?

I just had a hilarious, giggle-ful, and lay it bare conversation with a longtime friend.

She’s back to work as a school counselor, this week — and her kids are also back to school.

Today she said she was so tired that a tiny speck of dust could knock her over.

Then she proceeded to tell me all the obligations her family had during this weekend — AND, she already knew she was going to be exhausted when Monday arrives.

I suggested my friend figure out what she could subtract from her weekend obligations — and to use that “free time” to rest and do nothing.

She said she would work on giving herself permission to take some “personal leave” during this weekend.
