How to stay motivated when things are so hard

Yesterday I had a coaching session with a brilliant woman who launched her wellness coaching business a few years ago.

A big chunk of our discussion was about 

how to stay motivated when things are so hard?

That was a good time for me to share with her about all the times I’ve wanted to shutdown my business because things were getting too hard or felt hard ALL the time.

Working for yourself is not all glamorous and full of easy days - like many folks on social media would have you believe.

There are many disappointments, crappy collaborators, and other messiness that can get in the way of the mission and vision you have/had for your business.

I shared my list of things I do to stay motivated, to nurture myself through rough patches, and to not talk myself out of things that I have a strong desire to do.

The list has 20 items.

Here are the top five.

1. Unplug and take a break from social media

2. Try a new and healthy recipe - I might as well enjoy a nurturing meal while I’m feeling low

3. Escape with a good book - I love my local library and instantly feel better when I visit

4. Spend time with friends

5. Update my vision board
