5 ways to unburden yourself

How are you feeling today, Bold-Thinker?

When my half-birthday (I know) arrived in August, I created a list of things I need to be unapologetic about.

[I shared this list with my coaching clients.]

Unapologetic means living your life and conducting yourself in a way that fits your desires and needs.

It means stepping out of the status quo and allowing yourself to drop facades.

It also means giving yourself non-judgement permission to do things your way.

Being unapologetic is part of the bold mindset that keeps your thriving instead of just surviving.

As we enter the 44th week of this calendar year, select one or two ways – from the list below – to be unapologetic.

Yes, the time is now!

Adjust your expectations of yourself
Prove yourself to yourself. Create your own rules and milestone checkboxes. Take a break from comparing yourself. Look at yourself in the mirror and say, “I trust you. I believe in you. I love you!”

Curate your “to do” list
Resist the urge to constantly pile more onto your massive “to do” list. This week, create three categories:
(a) Now = within the next 10 days
(b) Near future: within the next 20 days
(c) Late future: within the next 2 months
This will help you prioritize tasks, ask for the appropriate help, and outsource (or barter services) for things that are not aligned with your skills and natural talents.

Stop playing it safe
This is transition season. Lean into this without letting fear takeover. Invite fear along for the ride, but don’t let fear be the star in this transition. If you fail or make a mistake – add that to your list of life lessons. Then – try again and celebrate your dedication and resilience.

Stop restrictive dieting
A diet should be a regimen that supports you, fills you up, and makes you healthier. If you are currently participating in a restrictive diet (food, opportunities, adventure, self-love, etc.) – let that go completely. Fill yourself up with things that are positive, nurturing, celebratory, and creative.

Let go of toxicity
It’s time to declutter and “clean house”. Let go of toxic habits, thoughts, and people who are not for you. Don’t overthink it. Just let it go and get back to doing bold things that support you, invigorate you, inspire you, and sustain you.
