How are you feeling about this time of year?
This morning I was journaling on my balcony and still feeling in awe of the mild California climate.
I'm a Midwestern girl (Wisconsin native / raised by Southerners) - and I remain in awe of this easy and tender weather.
Because of that - I try to spend time outside - as much as possible - because I remember the cold and gray season of my Midwestern days.
I think that's part of the reason I'm such a big reader and avid crafter.
I needed to keep my cabin fever low since I didn't come of age with the internet and instant, streaming services.
Today's journal entry included these topics:
- Front row mindset
- Adjusting my expectations of others
- Pausing to breathe and celebrate
- Reminders so I don't ramp up my pace in doing things
- How fast I can decorate my home for Christmas
I have three more weeks of work until my family will be on vacation.
I have to make sure I don't allow the external frenzy of this time of year push me into over-doing.
So today's journal entry put me on notice.
What do you enjoy about this time of year?
What do you want to amplify?
What do you want to stop doing?
